Sustainability is a key focus for us – we are making commitments now that will benefit generations to come. Our journey to reducing our carbon footprint starts with these key areas: electricity, heat, light, and water. Ensuring the products we manufacture are kind to the environment is at the forefront of all we do.
Our vessels reduce water consumption by using Clean In Place [CIP], an efficient method of cleaning machinery which prevents waste and reduces downtime.

Working to reduce our carbon footprint, we have use air sourced heating. This low-carbon heating initiative draws in the air from outside, turning it into heating and hot water for our building.

At PBS, by employing cold process systems wherever possible in the research, development and scale up of our formulations, we reduce energy consumption, minimise environmental impact and preserve the integrity of ingredients. Our Eco Committee, a team of dedicated volunteers within the company, set monthly eco targets to help us reach our wider sustainability goals.
From standardising pallet wrapping – which will save almost 50,000 metres of plastic wrap per year – to regular litter picking in our local area, the team strive to make our company and community a greener place.
