Beekeeping at PBS

A buzzy couple of months at Professional Beauty Systems!

PBS's company beekeeper, Wade, recently delivered beekeeping sessions with our on-site hives as pollen season came to an end.

Bees are essential to our ecosystem; by pollinating our trees and flowers, they support other wildlife to thrive, while helping to provide food and shelter across the whole eco system. With beekeepers reporting that in the last 15 years they have lost up to 50% of colonies, nurturing bee hives in the UK is more important than ever.

Our bees produced 5kg of honey from each hive - so a total of 10kg of honey - with more than that left for the bees over the winter.

Across several beekeeping sessions, employees from across the company got involved in extracting honey from the hives, which we then jarred and took home... delicious! 🐝
